CUTTING EDGE GOLF to publish twice-a-month to reflect exciting times for golf fashion
Best of luck to every player and the team support staff at the Solheim Cup this week; particularly good wishes to European team captain Carin Koch as she attempts to forge victory for Europe against the United States team, at Golf Club St. Leon-Rot, in Germany, starting today.
Carin is pictured (above) with Abacus Sportswear's Lisa Martell Nielsen at the recent team fitting session (this is the fifth time the European team is wearing Abacus Sportswear; the first time was in 2007).
The Solheim Cup, of course, would not have grown to its current level without the backing of the Solheim family, of PING fame. In November, PING CEO John Solheim is to be awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the HSBC Golf Business Forum, and one of Mr Solheim’s many good ideas was the creation of the PING Junior Solheim Cup for U’18 players.   
Such industry support in the game can only encourage more young golf stars and today the Solheim teams – and Rory, Jordan, Jason, Rickie – and others are playing with such a sense of style that they are creating opportunities for the golf fashion sector to really turn a page.
