Nike Golf athlete Jordan Smith took another step on his journey towards the highest echelons of the professional game with a great wire-to-wire maiden victory on the European Challenge Tour at the Red Sea Egyptian Challenge Presented by Hassan Allam Properties.
Smith relied on a full arsenal of Nike equipment including the Vapor Fly Pro driver and RZN Tour Platinum golf ball, the same combination favoured by Nike stablemate and four-time Major champion Rory McIlroy. He was head to toe in Performance apparel, winning in the new Nike MM Fly Blade Polo.
The polo features a lightweight, Dri-FIT fabric with ergonomic seams for a full range of motion, while the new blade collar design offers comfort with minimal rib design. Smith also counted on the stability provided by the new Lunar Control 4 footwear on his way to victory.
The win propelled Smith to second in The Road to Oman standings, and although it’s early in the season, the Wiltshire-based athlete revealed it has boosted his self-belief significantly.
"I knew it was going to be a huge step up to play at this level, and while I was certain I could do that, a win like this – especially doing it wire-to-wire – has given me enhanced confidence for the rest of the season.”
Smith – who finished atop the HotelPlanner.com PGA EuroPro Tour Order of Merit last November following a stunning playoff victory at the season-ending Tour Championship in Spain – battled windy conditions to seal the win, eventually finishing on 18-under-par with 23 birdies to his name, two strokes clear of the competition.

Fairway Metal:  Vapor Fly #3 15°
Hybrid: Vapor Fly #2 17°
