On the tee, Justin Rose: US Open starts great month ahead for golf fashion
The US Open starts today (June 12), and what a drama we can expect, played out for us by some of the greatest names in golf at Pinehurst No.2, North Carolina.
A weekend watching the World Cup and the US Open, it's a tough life, no?
No Tiger Woods (injured), but Europeans can hope for great things from defending Justin Rose, resurgent Rory McIlroy and Martin Kaymer, bionic Miguel Ángel Jiménez, 'class-is-permanent' Lee Westwood and Luke Donald, and even Paul Casey (great to see him back in form), who have all been hitting it well in recent weeks.
In the ‘battle of the shirts’ it could be that in the absence of the iconic red Nike shirt of Tiger, this championship is wide open for those manufacturers who will be desperate to see their staff players lift the famous trophy while wearing their latest breathable polo!
We hope you enjoy the four days and this issue of Cutting Edge Golf.
